Upcoming Dream Trainings and Workshops

New workshops for 2010!

We began the year with an exciting series of lucid dreaming workshops, which proved to be a great success. Topics covered included Tibetan Buddhism, Out of Body Experiences and the Higher-Self, and shamanic dreaming led by Daniel Stone.

Two exciting workshops for Autumn 2010!

Each workshop costs just £60 per person. Or you can book two workshops for £110:

Sunday 12th September 2010, 11am – 4.30pm: Dream Interpretation

 Many of us are fascinated by our dreams. Often, this apparently random jumble of images we experience every night is confusing and just plain unfathomable. So why should we try to gain any meaning from our dreams? And how do we go about interpreting our dreams?

At the Academy’s ‘Dream Interpretation Workshop’ we introduce you to two methods of dream interpretation, based on Gestalt and Jungian psychotherapy. These will give you great insight into your dreams.

This workshop will take place on Sunday September 12th 2010, from 11am to 4.30pm at The Academy of Dreams, based in Euston, central London. The cost is £60.

Facilitator: Debbie Winterbourne

Benefits from the course:

It is said that your dream is a letter from your unconscious to yourself. During this course, you will be able to learn tips and techniquesto ‘read’ this message and understand your dream better;

Your dreams do not mislead you. You will uncover what you REALLY think and feel about a situation (not what you think you should be feeling);

You will be able to access your deeper, truer wishes and become aware of what you want. Once you understand the wisdom of the dream, you can then adjust your waking life to follow the wisdom that you have unlocked from your dream;

We will also give you some tips on how to record and remember your dreams, with tips and techniques for dream recall and journalling.

Bring a dream to this workshop and be amazed at what you will uncover!

What previous participants have said:

 ‘I found the whole day really interesting. It was fascinating to see how many different interpretations were possible for someone’s dream. I thought the day was structured very well and everything was presented in a way that was easy to follow and understand. I thoroughly enjoyed it!’ (Jade Aurousseau, London)

 ‘Very fun, interesting in a relaxed environment’ (Zoe Norris)

Important work; helping people to improve their awareness of living’ (Claudia Nielson)

Well organised, interesting, chance to share dreams, well worth attending’ (Helen Wright)

 ‘I loved the 6 different cards, all the questions to ask the dreamer so they tell you the dream in their own words. I enjoyed today very much’ (Jayne Evans)

 ‘The very relaxed atmosphere which made it easy to speak out and talk through the issues’.

 ‘I’ve done a couple of Debbie’s dream workshops, which are fantastic. Whilst dreaming is still incredibly undervalued in our society, I really think more than ever before, there’s a need to start to look inwards more. Through her highly professional and informative workshops, Debbie gives people the tools to do this. She’s done all the ground work, she’s inspirational and no doubt through her centre will continue to have an incredibly positive impact on many more people.’
(Zara Percy, London)

Sunday October 10th 2010, 11am – 4.30pm: Lucid Dreaming

Have you seen the film ‘Inception’ yet? If so, you may be fascinated by the concept of ‘lucid dreaming’.

Lucid dreaming is all about being aware that you are dreaming whilst in the dream. This is a fascinating state of consciousness which really challenges our notions of what ‘reality’ is.

Charlie’s workshop will include an overview of the history, science and practice of lucid dreaming from both the Western psychological and Tibetan Buddhist traditions. However, the main emphasis is on learning ‘how to lucid dream’ through a variety of scientifically proven techniques. Lucid Dreaming can be of both spiritual and psychological benefit to those who practice it as part of their spiritual path and these workshops will explore the techniques and practice of lucid dreaming from both the Western and the Tibetan Buddhist traditions within this context of spiritual growth.  The cost is £60.

Facilitator: Charlie Morley

‘I just wanted to let you know that I managed to have a lucid dream last Wednesday!! It was incredible! I dreamt I was in a building and immediately realized I was dreaming, so I decided to walk through the wall, and I walked on to a busy street outside, I looked at my hands and saw them change from big to small and I was so excited but I had to keep calm. And then I decided to speak to the characters of my dream. All of a sudden the road became full of people and they were all walking towards me, so I stopped the first man and asked him if there was something he wanted to tell me and he said that he strongly advises me to go travelling and hands me a business card, the business card has three or four aero planes, rainbow coloured and in 3D.

Anyway it was quite a long lucid dream, at some points I had lost the control but then I managed to regain it. I also experienced false awakenings 2 times during the dream… Thank you for helping me to have these experiences.’
(Alex Kiefner, London)
